The Riot! is proud to invite you to the next National Conversation entitled The State of the States' Budgets.
You are invited to join us in a National Conversation on the State of the States' Budgets! Sign up now to participate in three teleconferences featuring real talk between self-advocates and state D.D. Directors.
The national economy is in trouble. Every day we hear news about people losing their jobs, people spending less, lenders being more cautious and home foreclosures. This will reduce state budgets which will affect disability services. We are already hearing about cuts to services.
And so we must act! Self-advocates and State Directors of Developmental Disability Services need to talk about things and work together to reduce the impact of these cuts on people’s lives. But first, we must work together to come up with some common solutions.
So let’s talk about it!
We are hosting three teleconferences on the State of the States’ Budgets:

All calls will begin at 3pm ET and run for approximately 90 minutes each.
( To view the agenda for each call, click on the date above or click here for all three.)Each teleconference will include a 60 minute panel discussion followed by a 30 minute Question and Answer session. The panel participants will include State Directors and self-advocates. We will learn a lot from these participants. Scroll down to read about the topics that will be discussed during each session.
The registration fee will be $25 per teleconference for ONE phone line. If you use a speakerphone you can gather people around and listen together! Additional lines will be $25 each.
If you register for all three teleconferences, you will pay only $20 per teleconference or $60 total! Additional lines will also be $20 each. So, it pays to register for all three!
